Welcome to St Nicholas Church in Wales Primary School
We are a voluntary-controlled school situated in the village of St. Nicholas, in the Vale of Glamorgan. We have 126 spaces in the school and our current number on roll is 125.
The school consists of two buildings: the first, the old village school, was built in the 1850s; and the second, is a modern flat-roofed building and contains three classrooms, a large hall, a small staff room, offices and a kitchen.
Alongside this building is a large playing field in which there is a children’s garden, a climbing trail, planting beds, an outdoor stage and seating, a football and a rugby pitch and, at the far end, a woodland area including a conservation area and pond. The current building operates as a twin site, the main site accommodating the majority of the pupils with the lower, old village school being travelled to and from by a class of pupils and their associated staff on a daily basis.
Our staff and parents work hard to ensure that all our children have the widest variety of experiences and every means of support available to flourish. As is made explicit in our Mission Statament, our aim is to celebrate every achievement as a whole church-school family.
